The Inspectors Call by Peter Campling

George Smith cares deeply for his school, the community he serves, and the embattled values of comprehensive education. Pressure builds from the start of the school year, with poor maths results, disgruntled unions and an impending inspection. George’s private life meanwhile is becoming increasingly dysfunctional and the problems mount with a budget crisis, an interfering Local Authority, unwanted competition from the new Free School, and scandalous behaviour at the staff party. Judgement day finally arrives… the inspectors’ call.

A poignant, humorous and moving perspective on our beleaguered education system…

The Inspectors Call was first staged at Theatro Technis April 28th to May 16th 2015 – read the reviews here >>>
